If this is the first time you are planning to attend Cancon, the following information may be useful. (If you have some suggestions for improving this page, please email us at conventions@cgs.asn.au )
What is it:
Cancon is Australia’s Largest and longest running table top games convention. We run Miniature wargames tournaments, Card games, Board games and Role-play events. There are also trade stands, participation games, a board games library and Dragon painting rooms.
Location:
Cancon is held at EPIC (Exhibition Park In Canberra). We currently use Budawang, Coorong, Fitzroy, Quokka, Snowy, Mallee and the Link/Convention areas.
Instructions on how to get there from Civic (Centre of Canberra):
If you are travelling north on Northbourne Ave (Federal Highway), turn left at the traffic lights onto Flemington Road. The main entrance (Gate 2) is located approximately 200 metres on your right (note there may be no right turn into the venue at various times of the day and during the staging of major events).
Alternatively, you can continue to the second set of traffic lights located near the Service Station/McDonalds. Turn left onto Stirling Avenue and enter through Gate 4.
Opening Times:
Cancon opens at 8:00am for Games Organisers and Traders, and 8:30am for players and the public. The trade stand area closes at 5:30pm. The games library closes at midnight day one and two, and 4pm on the final day. Most tournaments finish between 5pm and 7pm each day, but it is worth checking with the event organiser if it is an issue.
Public Transport:
There is a bus stop just outside the main gates of EPIC, with a Tram stop located near EPIC. Bus numbers vary but the ACT Transport webpage may be of use.
Entry to Cancon:
Tournaments, Card games, Role-play and the Games Library have entry fees, which are listed in the Cancon web pages for those events.

(Next year we will have a map page set up for the event.)
